Using the TC Mobile app to see the location of a phone requires the following:
1) The account must be set by Tablet Command to allow this capability.
2) An admin will check the "Share location enabled on mobile device", uncheck the "Hide from map" box, and populate the Map ID field.
3) For locations to continue to update when TC Mobile is not running in the foreground, user needs to confirm the iOS privacy setting for location for TC Mobile is set to "Always"
-Go the the phone settings app, TC Mobile, Location, set checkmark to "Always"
--note: Apple sets the location as "While Using the App". The user must manually change this.
4) The user will open the TC Mobile app, confirm the sync clock at the top middle of the screen is reseting every ten seconds, then go to the map and confirm the map ID flag is showing on the map.
Key items to know:
-The app may go to background but must still be running on the device. If the user fully closes TC Mobile the location will no longer update.
-If the device does not for 24 hours it will drop from the map as we remove AVL from the map that has not moved from the map after 24 hours.
-When TC Mobile is set to background the location updates every 30-60 seconds. If the app is on the screen the location updates every 3-10 seconds. If the location is not updating then one of the steps above was missed or the device is not connected to the Internet.
-An admin can see when the device last checked in by going into the web portal, Admin Features, Online Users. The admin can also go to Admin Features, Location.
